On 17 August 2001, a man named Jamie Ferrucci, 25, of East Haven, Connecticut was arrested for ramming his car through a dog compound gate with his car to free his husky named Rocky. Due to repeated complaints from the neighbors for being a neighborhood nuisance, the dog was taken into custody by an animal control officer.
Needless to say, he was charged with trespassing and criminal mischief.
The stupid thing is that he could have just paid $10 to get his dog back, said Eric Curtis, an Assistant Animal Control Officer.
Ferrucci did not only have to face criminal and civil charges, but also his car was wrecked, and Rocky somehow got away during the chaos and the police was unable to find him.
