Quotable #29: Time

quotable

“It is well known, that time once past never returns; and that the moment which is lost is lost for ever. Time therefore ought, above all other kinds of property, to be free from invasion and yet there is no man who does not claim the power of wasting that time which is the right of others.”

— Samuel Johnson, Idler, No. 14, July 15, 1758

  4. As a child I longed for time to speed up. Now that I’m getting older, I’d like it to slow down! Guess the only way to make the most of ‘time’ is by being present in the moment.

  5. I blame the Time Worms. They stole last weekend from me. I think they also stole 24 cans of beer and a bottle of gin.
