A Conversation With A Mirror

On Jack Shalom’s blog, I found out about a cartoonist named Jules Feiffer (and the comic strips that he made) and I kind of like the humor in his comics.

I rarely read comics so I know little about them. During my childhood, I read a few manhwa (Chinese comics) and some PeanutsCalvin and Hobbes, and Doonesbury. However, I mostly read books. Hence, I suck at understanding the humor in comic strips.

Despite my mediocre skill at recognizing this kind of humor, I can appreciate some of the hmor of Jules Feiffer. Here’s an example:

Most of my conversations with myself in the mirror involve how to get that little bit of whiskers just under my nose where my razor can’t seem to reach.
