Learn Fun Facts’ 2017 Year In Review & 1st Year Blogiversary

365 days and 261 posts ago, Learn Fun Facts was born. That makes today New Year and the First Blogiversary of Learn Fun Facts!

It’s surprising to think that one year has passed since I began blogging. When I published my first post on January 1, 2017, I didn’t have any concrete goal for my blog. At first, I only created this blog to archive all the curious facts that I’ve read. I am an avid reader and I like to research about odd topics from little-known sources. So, I thought that it made sense to keep a record of those curiosities.

Yes, I maintain journals and digital records of my notes, but they are just that โ€” notes. Thus, I wanted to turn my notes into a more coherent and organized form. I know that it can be done without using a blog but I like the conveniences of hyperlinks and WordPress categories/tags.

Then I decided to make this blog public to share some of the curious stuff I came by.  I just didn’t expect for my blog to grow quickly! My blog was even included in Feedspot’s Top 30 Fact Blogs.

Anyway, I had to stop blogging for four months in March due to personal issues. So, I’m grateful to you, my readers, for your continued support when I returned in July.

As this post is also a Year in Review, I’ll start now before I go off on a tangent.

Stats

In 2017, Learn Fun Facts received 81,800 page views and 32,000 unique visitors. The blog got a total of 3,800 comments.

  4. Congratulations! I enjoy your posts and I am one of those almost 4,000 Canadian readers. We only have 35M people in Canada ( much less then the US at 350M) so having 4,000 Canadians turn up to your blog is excellent.
