  1. Lol! So true. If you treat investing like gambling, you will get burned. Don’t listen to neighbors, don’t speculate, and do your research and it becomes investing. If you want to gamble, go to Vegas.

  2. I couldn’t agree more with the quote. It just goes to show you why you should not put all of your eggs in one basket. Single company stock holdings for me is too risky. A caller on the Dave Ramsey show lost nearly $14k in Lehman Brothers went it went under during the ’08 recession. I would recommend holding no more than 5% of your portfolio in any given name regardless of how good that name may be and no more than 20% in any sector.
