Raymond Burr in Perry Mason
In 1977, Michael George Cummings of Tulsa, Oklahoma was charged with purse-stealing. He refused to have a lawyer defend him at his impending trial. His reason? He said that he had watch enough episodes of Perry Mason, a US legal drama, to know how things go. Cummings was sure that he could exonerate himself.
When the trial commenced, he finally had the chance to show his legal prowess. Facing his accuser, he gave her his rendition of a steely Raymond Burr stare and said, “Did you get a good look at my face when I took your purse?”
Case closed. Cummings was sentenced to ten years in prison for his trouble.

Too funny! Criminals are usually dumber than most lawyers. Enough said unless you are a criminal.or an attorney.

The best Perry Mason was Warren William. Take it from a detective movie/book connoisseur…

Warren William is just like the Perry Mason in the books. If you get a chance, see his version.

He was a good actor for the series, it was a very “serious” sometimes dark feeling show. What did you think?
